The Asepam (Association Spéléologique pour l’Etude et la Protection des Anciennes Mines) values since a quarter of century the appearances(mines) of the Silver Valley, With the development of several kilometers of galleries for the visit, and the supervision of archaeological excavations. It proposes the visit of two silver mines: the mine Saint Louis-Eisenthür and the mine Gabe-Gottes.

HAUT-KOENIGSBOURG FORTIFIED CASTLE
757 meters high above the Alsace Plain stands the castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg. Is is fortified and offers and exceptionally wide panorama on the plain and the Vosges mountains. The way it is built and its strategic position gives him all the characteristics of a fortress. When the weather is clear enough, it is even possible to see the Alps.

SALON MODE ET TISSUS
Mode et Tissus (‘Fashion and Fabrics’) is a leading textile show since 1973, welcoming professionals (dressmakers, fashion designers, decorators…) as well as general public eager to find quality stuff and outfits. 32’000 meters of high-end fabrics, designers (clothing, jewelry, accessories), specialized equipment, and several activities including 3 daily fashion shows.
Twice a year in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines (March and October).

EUROPEAN PATCHWORK MEETING
The textile arts have been celebrated for over 20 years in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines during the European Patchwork Meeting (‘Carrefour Européen du Patchwork’), exactly where the amish culture (including patchworks seewing and quilting) was born in 1693. Over 1000 works exhibited in about twenty sites, Europe’s biggest commercial area dedicated to quilting, as well as several classes and lectures make this international show a must-see.
Every year in September in the 4 municipalities of the Silver Valley.
